For Our Parents

Parent Council

We know that you and your child will enjoy this ideal environment as much as we do. Not only are the locations and facilities wonderful, but also as you will see, the teachers and staff generate a positive and supportive environment for the children. As parents, we can contribute to this environment individually and as members of the Parent Council.

The goal of the Parent Council, which consists of parents, teachers, and school administration is to support the teachers and staff by creating a community environment in which parents are involved. The purpose of the Parent Council is to:

  1. Provide support and recognition for the teachers
  2. Disseminate school-related information
  3. Provide a vehicle for parent input and participation
  4. Coordinate school functions and activities
  5. Serve as an overall support system for the school

There are many opportunities for parent involvement at The Clifton School. The Parent Council sponsors several events throughout the school year, including the Book Fair, Harvest Festival, Silent Auction, Holiday Thank You Gift Campaign for Teachers, Valentine's Day Breakfast for Teachers, Spring Fling, and Teacher Flower Appreciation Day. Each classroom at The Clifton School has a room representative who helps to coordinate these efforts. A full calendar of events for the school year will be posted in early September.

You are also encouraged to become involved in classroom activities. The most nurturing, supportive, and educational environment is one where we can work hand-in-hand with our teachers. We encourage all Clifton School families to participate in any way they choose.
